BACKGROUND
As a teacher and librarian, I worked on environmental, personal health, animal rights,
humane education and community relations for over 33 years. I have been a classroom humane education instructor for The New England Anti-Vivisection Society, The Sierra
Club and the New York-based Humane Education Committee. I was president of
EarthFriends, a vegetarian/environmental organization based in New York State and
editor of their newsletter, "The Fig Tree." I have produced teacher resource packages
for elementary and secondary science teachers and audio productions on the topics of
healthy diet and lifestyle and endangered animals.
As part of my metaphysical background, I have produced an audiotape of techniques for
preparing oneself for individual meditation, entitled "Moving Into Meditation," using music
and affirmations that correspond to the seven chakras of the body.
In the town where I lived for the last ten years, I was the editor of "Lakeside Life,"
the newsletter for the Crystal Lake Lakefront Homeowners Association in Oakland, New Jersey.
I am also a certified Feng Shui practitioner and lecturer for the past 12 years, doing consultations in homes and offices and holding teaching seminars.
